Day 1

ARRIVE MUMBAI

Our representative will meet you upon arrival at Mumbai international airport and you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

MUMBAI

After breakfast, visit Gateway of India which was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Marry to Bombay in 1911. Later from here you will take one hour ferry ride across Mumbai harbour to the lush green Elephanta Island. The intricately carved Elephanta caves are of 8th century and sculptures depicting the various manifestations of Lord Shiva are dedicated to Lrod Shiva is overpowering. After lunch, visit The Prince of Wales museums, which was built to commemorate the visit of then Prince of Wales and houses approximately 50,000 exhibits of ancient Indian History. You shall also visit Victoria Terminus which is an historic railway station in Mumbai in gothic style followed by your visit to Dhobi Talao (Washerman’s Lake). Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

FLIGHT MUMBAI TO COCHIN

After breakfast, you shall be transferred to Munbai airport to connect flight 11.00 am flight to Cochin. Our representative will meet you at Cochin airport to transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Later after lunch, sight seeing tour of Cochin visiting Jewish Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in Commonwealth Nations that was built in the year 1568, St. Francis Church is the oldest European Church in India built in 1503. Dutch Palace or Mattanchery Palace built by Portuguese in 1555 and presented to the King of Cochin etc.

Chinese fishing nets which is a very unusual method of fishing. Operated from the shore, these nets are set up on bamboos and teak poles. Legend says that these nets were brought by the Chinese explorer Zheng He. Viewing these fishing nets at Sun set is a great experience. Later before returning to your hotel, watch Kathakali Dance, a traditional dance form of Kerala.

Day 4

After breakfast at your , sight seeing tour of Cochin visiting Jewish Synagogue , the oldest synagogue in Commonwealth Nations that was built in the year 1568, St. Francis Church , the oldest European Church in India built in 1503. Dutch Palace or Mattanchery Palace built by Portuguese in 1555 and presented to the King of Cochin.

Later in evening, Sunset cruise in the cochin harbor and learn many aspect of fishing and business through the sea.

Day 5

COCHIN – ALLEPEY (50 KMS / 01 HR)

After a leisurely breakfast at hotel, drive to Alleppy (50 Kms / 01 Hr). Alleppey is known as the Venice of the East. On arrival check into a Traditional Kerala Houseboat (Rice Boat) or Kettuvallam. These house boats were used earlier for the transportation from remote Kerala back waters villages to nearby towns. Cruise through the back waters in Vembanandu Lake is the fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of backwaters. All meals are cooked and served hot on the house boats. Overnight stay in an air-condition house boat.

Day 6

ALLEPPEY – PERIYAR

After breakfast, drive drive to Periyar. On arrival at Periyar, check – in at the hotel. After lunch visit the famous Periyar Tiger Reserve. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7

PERIYAR

An early morning Nature Walk tour into the jungle let you know about various species of birds and about both fauna & flora.

In the evening, enjoy a live show – Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest martial arts in the world.

Day 8

PERIYAR – MADURAI (150 KMS / 4 HRS)

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Madurai. Madurai, the city known for the spectacular Meenakshi Temple. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel .Overnight at hotel.

Later after lunch and a little relax, visit famous Meenakshi Temple , dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati. The temple complex has 14 towers (Gopurams) including 2 golden towers. The temple forms the heart and lifeline of the 2500 years old Madurai City. Also visit Flower market. Overnight at your hotel in Madurai.

Day 9

MADURAI – TRICHY (150 KMS / 03 HRS)

After having breakfast, drive towards Trichy, an ancient city in Indian state of Tamilnadu. On arrival, check-in at the hotel.

In the afternoon, visit the famous Rock Fort Temple which is perched on a huge rocky out crop. Also visit Srirangam Temple which encompasses Trichy city and is the biggest functioning Hindu temple in the world.

Overnight at your hotel.

Day 10

TRICHY – THANJORE ( 65 KMS / 1.5 HRS )

After breakfast, Drive to Thanjore (Tanjore), also known as the rice bowl of Tamilnadu. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel. Later in afternoon. Visit Brahadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva The temple was constructed more than a thousand years and is an architectural marvel. Also visit The Palace which is about 01 Km from the temple and houses an Art Gallery.

Overnight at your hotel.

Day 11

THANJORE – KUMBAKONAM – GANGAI KONDA CHOLAPURAM – CHIDAMBARAM - PONDICHERRY ( 200 KMS / 07 HRS )

Morning drive to Pondicherry visiting en-route temple Sri Ramaswamy at Kumbakonam and Temple of Lord Natraja (Shiva) at Chidambram. All these temples have superb architectural importance.

On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Pondichery on your own.

Overnight at hotel in Pondichery.

Day 12

PONDICHERRY – MAHABALIPURAM ( 110 KMS / 4 HRS )

After breakfast, check-out from hotel. Visit the splendid Aurobindo Ashram ( Auroville). Auroville is meant to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. Stay overnight at Sea side resort at Mahaballipuram, also known as Mammalapuram, a 7th century port city in the Indian state of Tamilnadu.

Day 13

MAHABALIPURAM

After a leisurely breakfast at hotel, visit Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World heritage Site including Shore Temple so named as it overlooks bay of Bengal, Arjuna’s Penance, the open air bas-relief monolith dating back to 7th century and Five Rathas (Chariots)which are all carved out of a single piece of granite.

Rest of the day free to enjoy at the beach.

Day 14

MAHABALIPURAM – KANCHIPURAM – CHENNAI (150 KMS / 5 HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram and explore this City of 1000 Temples. Visit Vardharaja perumal temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Ekambrantha Temple dedicated to one form of Lord Shiva.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue driving to Chennai for your onward flight.
