When it comes to Indian fairs, nothing can be bigger than Kumbha Mela – the largest gathering of humanity on the earth. Being celebrated once after every three years in rotation at one of the four holy places of India – Allahabad , Ujjain , Nasik and Haridwar, Kumbha Mela attracts millions of devotees at the banks of holy rivers in these cities to take a bath on special days with a belief that a dip in the holy river on auspicious day will wash all their sins and they will be liberated from the cycle of birth and death which is called Moksha.

Next Kumbha Mela shall be celebrated in Haridwar between 14th January 2021 to 27thApril 2021. Millions of Hindu devotees shall take bath on the banks of holy river Ganges which touches the plains of India at Haridwar after its birth in mountains of Himalaya.

Haridwar or Hari ( god ) ka Dwar ( gateway ) meaning Gateway to Moksha will invite various groups ( Akhadas , Parishads , Nagas , Ashrams etc ) having thousands of Sadhus, rishis and yogis who will come to the banks of river Ganges with their glorious processions to take Royal Bath ( Shahi Snan ) on following specific dates.

We invite you to be a part of this biggest gathering of human being on earth and experience centuries old spiritual beliefs of millions of Hindus. Day 1

Arrive at New Delhi International Airport

Arrive Delhi International airport. Our representative shall meet you upon arrival for further transfer to your hotel.

If time permit, after relax at the hotel, start your tour of Delhi by visiting Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Sikh Temple) in the centre of Delhi. A beautiful white building flanked with a golden dome has a pool (sarovar) inside the complex, is one of the main worship place for Sikhs.Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

DELHI

After breakfast in the hotel, proceed for a full day tour of Old & New Delhi visiting the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site Humayun’s Tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal, the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan the builder of Taj Mahal, rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk and the Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Nation. Later after lunch in your hotel or at a local restaurant, drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Edwin Lutyens including the India Gateand the President Hosue.Also visit 72.5 meters tall towering minaret of Qutab Minar, UNESCO World Heritage Site and tallest minaret in Asia. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Drive from Delhi to Agra en-route visiting Akshardham Temple (225 Kms/06 Hours including en-route visits)

After breakfast, Drive to Agra en-route visiting Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, unique example of 10,000 years of Indian culture in all its breath taking grandeur, beauty,wisdom and bliss. Arrive Agra and after check-in at your hotel,visit Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daullah or Baby Taj constructed in white marble is a jewelry box shaped building and is the first building constructed in white marble. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

AGRA

Wake-up early to visit the most beautiful and architectural marvel in white marble – Taj Mahal at sunrise which is quite simply one of mankind’s most remarkable creations. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often referred as Romance in White Marble. Return to hotel by Tonga (horse cart). Post breakfast,visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort built in 1565 AD and houses many fairy-tale palaces and royal pavilions. Visit a Rural Village near Agra and learn how life is dependent on agriculture and cattle. Experience the roti (Indian bread) making in the kitchen of a village house along with milking of buffalo by hand. The girls of the village will be happy to make a Rangoli (you can also learn it) to welcome you. Later in evening, watch Taj Mahal at sunset from Mehtab Bagh from opposite side of Taj Mahal. Mehtab Bagh was also one of the last eleven Mughal gardens. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5

Drive from Agra Jaipur en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri (260 KMS/08 HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur with en-route stop at Fatehpur Sikri which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site the deserted red sandstone capital city built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. There are many architectural specimens in palace complex of Fatehpur Sikri. Also visit centuries old step well Chand Baori at small village of Abhaneri. Arrive Jaipur or Pink City and check-in at hotel. Later experience evening Puja in Birla Temple built in white marble at the base of Moti Dungri hill in Jaipur.Overnight at your hotel.

Day 6

JAIPUR

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Amer Fort on top of a hill at outskirts of Jaipur. This 16th century majestic fort was the capital of Rajputs till 1727 AD when the capital was shifted to Jaipur. Amer Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many palaces with beautiful paintings, squares and terraces with balconies. Best way to reach to Amer Fort is on the back of an Elephant. Visit City Palace built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh as residence for the royal family members. The palace complex today has several buildings, courtyards and museum. Exquisite carpets, bright Rajput weapons and delicate clothes, ornamented palanquins will remind you of the grandeur of this princely era of India. Adjoining to City Palace is Observatory Or Jantar Mantar which is the largest stone astronomical observatory in the world and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During your visits in Jaipur city, you shall also be passing through Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal constructed in 1799 with 953 small windows,called Jharokas, decorated by intricate lattice work (jali or screen). Walk through the colourful buzzing markets of Jaipur before attending a private Cooking Class in an old heveli where the ladies of the house will help you learn the recipes of Indian food. You will also enjoy the dinner cooked by you. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7

Flight from Jaipur to Dehradun (Haridwar)

After breakfast, visit Galta ji also known as Monkey temple built in 15th century, transfer to Jaipur airport for flight to Dehradun. Arrive Dehradun and drive to holy city of Haridwar, the Spiritual Capital of the World. Overnight at hotel or Tented accommodation.

Day 8

Haridwar

Your day in spiritual city of Haridwar will start with your first experience of Yoga on the banks of river Ganges. Yoga which means “Yog “or Union of mind and body. Start your well being with easy lessons of Pranayama to learn about control on your breathe. Later, visit the Kumbha Mela ( fair ) ground and ashrams of various groups of Sadhus and Yogis living their yogic and spiritual life. In the evening, enchanting ceremony of evening arti (puja) of river Ganges by priests with lighted fire lamps will amaze you. Overnight at your hotel or tent.

Day 9

Haridwar

Today is one of the days of Royal Bath ( Shahi Snan ) when thousands of Sadhus, saints, yogis, Naga sadhus in their ornamented dresses with their respective processions will come to banks of the river Ganges to take first bath. This remarkable event shall be one of the most mesmerizing experience in your life. Later, return to your hotel / tent to have breakfast. Spend the day around the sadhus and yogis. Overnight at your hotel / tented accommodation.

Day 10

Haridwar-Rishikesh-Haridwar

Another session of Yoga followed by meditation, visit to the nearby holy city of Rishikesh , just about 30 kms from Haridwar.  visit Laxman Jhula built in 1929 AD is a suspension bridge over river Ganges. There are many temples and Ashrams where Hindu Sadhus are living and following Hinduism- A way of life. Visit Trayambakeshwar temple built in saffron colour and has 13 floors. Each floor is dedicated to one Hindu god. Visit Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram where famous English rock band” Beatles” learned meditation in 1968. Return to your retreat for meditation followed by spectacular prayer ceremony, The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Return to your hotel / tented accommodation in Haridwar.

Day 11

Flight from Dehradun to Delhi and to home.

Learn a bit more about Yoga as you participate in another Yoga session, followed by a special puja for all your well being – SAM SAMRIDHI just for you wherein the priest or Brahamin does the chanting of holy mantra around the fire and you take a dip in holy river Ganges to re-start a new life. Check-out and transfer in-time to Dehradun airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive New Delhi International Airport for your onward flight to home.
